Ethnic Hair Sims 2: Gray Highlights Issue
As a long-time fan of The Sims series, I was excited to dive into the world of custom content and mods for the game. However, I recently encountered a frustrating issue with my Sims' hair that has left me feeling disappointed.
The problem arises when trying to style the hair of Sims with darker hair colors. Specifically, I've noticed that the gray highlights feature seems to malfunction, causing the hair to appear grayish or washed out, especially on dark-haired Sims. This is particularly noticeable on Sims with almost black hair, where the effect stands out starkly.
To replicate this issue, simply create a Sim with nearly the darkest hair color and attempt to style it as usual. You'll likely notice that the gray highlights feature doesn't work correctly, resulting in an unnatural-looking gray tint.
I've tried various combinations of custom content and mods without success, so I'm unsure if there's a specific patch or change that triggered this issue. It's also worth noting that I haven't experienced any other bugs or glitches with my game.
To confirm the bug, simply follow these steps:
1. Create a Sim with almost the darkest hair color.
2. Attempt to style their hair as usual.
3. Observe how the gray highlights feature affects their hair.
I've installed all available expansions, game packs, and stuff packs for The Sims 2, so I'm confident that this issue isn't related to any specific content. As of my current game version (1.0), this bug occurs every time I try to style dark-haired Sims.
For now, I'll have to live with the disappointment of seeing my Sims' hair look unnatural due to this glitch. If you're experiencing similar issues or have any potential solutions, please share your experiences in the comments below.
